Livre de photographies rare présentant de remarquables portraits d’enfants de Marcel Natkin (1904-1962), accompagnés de textes du célèbre auteur et pionnier de la radio Jean Nohain (1900-1981). Ce livre était destiné à être offert pour la fête des mères ; cet exemplaire particulier porte la bande promotionnelle. Cette bande représente une jeune fille tendant le livre à sa mère, avec l’inscription « Pour la fête des mères ». – M. Natkin dirigeait un studio de photographie renommé sur l’élégante avenue Victor-Hugo à Paris. Il a publié plusieurs ouvrages sur les techniques photographiques destinés aux amateurs et aux professionnels. Ses manuels (notamment ceux sur le système d’appareil photo Rolleiflex, alors révolutionnaire, et sur la photographie couleur) ont été traduits en plusieurs langues et ont été considérés comme des ouvrages de référence pendant des décennies. En 1937, il publia l’ouvrage fondamental *Le Nu en photographie*, dans lequel il mêlait essais d’histoire de l’art et œuvres d’icônes de l’avant-garde telles que Man Ray, Laure Albin-Guillot et Pierre Boucher. – Jean Nohain fut l’une des figures les plus influentes des débuts de la radio et de la télévision françaises. Il était avocat, parolier, scénariste et pionnier de la radio et de la télévision. Il était le fils du célèbre poète et librettiste Franc-Nohain et le frère de l’acteur Claude Dauphin. Sous le pseudonyme de « Jaboune », il a écrit des livres pour enfants, des magazines (comme Benjamin) et des paroles de chansons très populaires dans les années 1920 et 1930. Dans les années 1950, il est devenu une figure majeure de la télévision française (RTF). Il a conçu et animé des émissions familiales novatrices telles que 36 chandelles, qui ont attiré des millions de téléspectateurs. – Un très bel exemple.

A rare photography book featuring remarkable portraits of children by Marcel Natkin (1904–1962), accompanied by texts from the renowned author and radio pioneer Jean Nohain (1900–1981). This book was intended as a Mother’s Day gift; this particular copy retains its promotional bellyband. The band depicts a young girl handing the book to her mother, with the inscription „Pour la fête des mères“ (For Mother’s Day). – M. Natkin ran a renowned photography studio on the elegant Avenue Victor-Hugo in Paris. He published several works on photographic techniques aimed at both amateurs and professionals. His manuals (notably those on the then-revolutionary Rolleiflex camera system and on color photography) were translated into multiple languages ??and regarded as standard reference works for decades. In 1937, he published the seminal work *Le Nu en photographie* (The Nude in Photography), combining art-historical essays with works by avant-garde icons such as Man Ray, Laure Albin-Guillot, and Pierre Boucher. – Jean Nohain was one of the most influential figures in the early days of French radio and television. He was a lawyer, lyricist, screenwriter, and a pioneer in broadcasting. He was the son of the famous poet and librettist Franc-Nohain and the brother of the actor Claude Dauphin.
