It marked the first book publication by British music journalist and radio presenter Peter Jones (1930–2015). At the time, Jones was an editor for the legendary *Beatles Book Monthly* magazine; his work gave him exclusive, personal access to John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. In 1965, writing under the pseudonym Pete Goodman, he also published the first book about the Rolling Stones, subtitled *Our Own Story*. Furthermore, he was the person who first brought the Rolling Stones to the attention of manager Andrew Loog Oldham. – A very good copy of the hardcover edition.
